Our solar permit services include detailed plans that our team designs specifically for your solar energy project, which can then be submitted to your city for permit approval and used to guide you or your contractor during the solar installation.

This package provides a RESIDENTIAL plan set for the installation of GROUND MOUNTED solar panels with or without energy storage. The plan set will meet all state, local, and utility requirements. Plan Set includes: Cover Sheet, Site Plan, Racking Plan, Assembly Details, Electrical Plan, Single Line Diagram, Labels Note: Permit and Engineering fees not included. Load Calculation for backup panels and/or service panel de-rating not included in the fee. Load calculations is available in the Professional Engineering menu.

Aurora-Helioscope-PVSyst Reports

Sales support with an optimized solar layout that you can use for sales presentations. Energy simulation and shade report to incorporate into your sales proposal. We use state of the art solar tools such as Aurora Solar and PVSyst. If module is bifacial we need to use two softwares, Aurora for layout purposes, and PVSyst for production purposes.

Note: After Dec 31 2023 we discontinued our Helioscope subscription. If you still prefer your design in Helioscope you need to provide your account login information to us to create the design on your behalf. You may also look into creating an additional user profile to us with your own account/subscription. Thanks for your understanding.

Commercial Solutions

Commercial drafting solutions for rooftop, solar carports, ground mounts, up to 500kw dc projects for solar installers or EPC providers. The fee includes the design and drafting only. With our engineering partners we can provide structural and electrical certifications with an additional fee, or you can use any engineer of your preference. Permit Design includes Site Plan, Electrical Layout and Diagram, Cable Schedule, Placards, Racking Details, and Datasheets. Does not include Battery Storage, Medium Voltage, SCADA, and it is limited to 1 Interconnection point per project. Please contact us for pricing above 500kw dc or projects with additional scope of work. Pricing varies per project size and project complexity.

Note: We don't do structural engineering for Carports. We can only support the electrical design. Please work with your structural engineer, civil engineer and your carport fabricator first. Then we can complement with the electrical sheets.

Note: We don't do LABD Los Angeles, City of Peoria AZ. We also do not take projects related to APS and SRP in AZ. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Commercial Solar or Solar + Storage Feasibility Study

A solar feasibility study determines whether your property is both technically and financially appropriate for the installation of a solar energy system. It is the first step in the process of transitioning to solar energy and involves the inspection of several important aspects of your potential site. At Avila Solar, our team of professionals will perform a thorough inspection and analysis of your property and provide you with a thorough report based on our findings. If you are in Oregon we can work with an Energy Trust of Oregon Solar Trade Ally and take advantage of the solar feasibility incentive which will cover 90% of the cost so your out of pocket is only $200. Or if you need a solar + storage feasibility study you can qualify for the ETO incentive of 50% of the costs with a maximum of $2500 incentive.

Commercial Project Development Retainer

This consulting service is a monthly recurring retainer fee. Ideal for commercial sales agents, solar developers or EPC providers looking for preliminary layouts during initial stages. This is a retainer fee where our team will be available to work with your team during multiple project iterations such as multiple layouts, single line diagrams, interconnection application support, Helioscope simulations, drafting, and all the technical support you need until your project is sold. You can use the retainer fee for multiple projects (orders) at the time. The retainer reserves one of our consultants for a max. of 15 hours/ month at $100/h. If the retainer is depleted before the next month period and you approve us to put more hours on certain project(s), then we will bill the additional extra hours @ $100/h. If you don’t require at least 15 hours/ month any balance will not be returned to the client. Please contact us if questions.

Electric Vehicle Charger

This service includes the design of electric vehicle (EV) chargers installation for residential homes or commercial buildings. This is perfect for electricians or solar installers. This might be an adder service to your solar / battery project, it can be included in the same solar / battery planset or a separate design if solar / battery is not present. Includes wiring schematic, conductor and conduit sizing, overcurrent protective device sizing. EV Chargers can draw a significant amount of current and may require electrical upgrades. AHJ may require load calculations to make sure you don't exceed the electrical service or gear rating. You can choose to include NEC 220.82 optional feeder and service load calculations for residential or NEC 220.87 for commercial. Depending on the AHJ a Master Electrician can sign off on the calculations or our electrical PE engineer partner can provide a PE stamp. Note: Permit fees not included.
